Description

For more than three decades, the Discovery Community has been a valuable presence and resource in the Bay Area GLBTQ community. We can all be proud of what we have accomplished together.

But have we fulfilled our purpose? What kinds of events should we continue to emphasize? What strategies should we pursue to sustain a group of active, engaged participants?Should we continue to invest time and resources in the annual retreat? Do we need to change to reflect changing times?

We hope you can participate in a frank discussion about the future of the Discovery Community at a Town Hall Meeting. This is a second opportunity to have your voice heard after a similar session was held at the retreat in August.

Whether you are a longtime Discovery member and wish to bring your experience, are relatively new with ideas to share, or completely new and want to learn more about Discovery, please bring your thoughts about the best path for Discovery's future. Everyone is welcome, including those who participated at the retreat.

Pizza, salad, and beverages will be served.

For 30 years, the Discovery Community has created fun social events and weekend getaways for gay, bi, and queer men.  We are an all volunteer organization. We welcome all men of different backgrounds who want to join us for camaraderie, to share life experiences, learn about ourselves and each other, have fun, and develop a supportive community that promotes our well-being.
